This highly successful business forms part of an iconic Australian company with group turnover in excess of $450m. With an impressive 85%+ PNG market share they form an integral part of the PNG business and local communities. This position senior operational management position is critical to the ongoing growth and direction of the company.
Reporting to and supporting the COO you will lead a strong and dedicated middle level management team whilst being required to manage and drive the manufacturing, maintenance, quality, procurement and site service functions of the business ensuring maximum efficiencies while delivering 100% product quality and safety standards.
Your new role will be responsible for analyzing existing manufacturing, quality, procurement and maintenance systems / standards, driving manufacturing initiatives and developing / implementing the manufacturing strategic plan. Leading by example you will also be required to mentor, develop and train staff ensuring they are equipped with the skills to grow and develop in their respective roles.
You will possess strong customer service orientation and have at least 10 years leadership experience within a progressing manufacturing environment. Experience in the food or FMCG sector is required coupled with a degree in Engineering or Food Technology. Having strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a sound understanding of Quality principles including HACCP will contribute to your success in the role.
